The remains of the 212 foot long 4 masted George A. Kohler which which ran aground on Hatteras Island in North Carolina on August 22, 1933 in 90mph hurrican winds. Today her exposure varies with storm erosion from being completely covered by sand to what is picture here. She is located between Salvo and Avon on the Cape Hatteras National Seashore.
